My background and experience
I’ve been a licensed psychologist since 2005. My education includes a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Economics from The University of California at Los Angeles. I am licensed in Texas (#34252). I work exclusively via the HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom.
My theoretical orientation to therapy is informed by these theories and approaches: attachment, feminist psychodynamic and object relations, narrative, interpersonal, systems, and strengths-based psychology.
I am certified as an executive and personal coach, and I have extensive expertise in career and leadership development. My therapy style often integrates principles from coaching psychology. I write about work and careers at Remote-First Coaching.
I was trained by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis to practice clinical hypnosis.
All of my work demonstrates my commitments to:
- Education
- Science
- Economic and social justice
- Sustainability
- Allyship with the LGBTQ+ community
- Inclusivity of neurodivergence
